A tape dispenser designed for extreme visual stability.
Story
A tape dispenser isn’t used often—but when it’s needed, it must be found.
And typically, that means digging through drawers or shelves.
Why? Most tape dispensers disrupt the visual harmony of a workspace.
They end up hidden, not by design, but by necessity.
This project began by questioning that default.
What if a tape dispenser could belong on the desk—something you’d want to keep in view?
We designed it so that even the trailing tape aligns with the horizontal plane,
and composed the main proportions around the golden ratio.
Instead of something to hide, we aimed to create an object worth displaying.
Highlight
- Horizontal Alignment The tape naturally rests along a horizontal plane—even when loose.
- Form Follows Function The shape is designed to assist its function, not just to look good.
- Not Meant to Be Hidden Refined so it doesn’t need to be stored away when not in use.
Before purchase
- PLA is sensitive to high temperatures. Please avoid exposing the product to heat.
- This product is made using FDM 3D printing, and may show fine layer lines on the surface. This is a normal characteristic of the manufacturing process.
- Please ensure that the office tape you plan to use is compatible with the product’s dimensions before purchasing.
