Story
My first studio desk in 2015 was busy with various models and materials. After experiencing the scent of an incense stick at a street fashion store when I was a college student, I smoked incense often. However, there was a problem with general incense holders, such as burning incense lying down. This structure has always been a complaint as it takes up a lot of space on my desk. I was also dissatisfied with the poor form that only had functions. As soon as I set the incense stick, the dust flew away. I wanted to save space by standing up the incense stick, but as a side effect, I only had to clean the dust more cumbersome. So, funny enough, the origin of 'reverse' is to wonder what it would be like to just hang the incense upside down.
In May 2015, prototypes were made in several workshops based on various mockups and sketches. In fact, I made this as a hobby and planned to use it alone, so I used it alone in my studio for 2 years. However, friends who came to visit the studio started asking, 'Where can I buy this unique incense holder?' Reverse, which started production like that, has produced more than 10,000 units so far in 2023, and is sold in design select shops around the world.

2015年5月に複数の模型作業とスケッチを基に、複数の工作所でプロトタイプを作成しました。 実はこれは趣味として一人で使う計画で作ったものなので、作業室で一人で2年間使っていました。 しかし、作業室に遊びに来る知人たちは皆、この独特のインセンスホルダーはどこで買えるのかと聞き始めました。 そうして生産を開始したリバースは、2022年現在までに約1万個以上が製作され、世界中のデザインセレクトショップで販売されています。

- Mounting may be difficult if the wick is not a stick-type incense stick.

- Each OBJT work is crafted by our artisans. With expertise and dedication to the craft, each piece takes days to complete. A true display of artisanal handcraft with subtle variations adding to the uniqueness of each work.
- The brass gradually becomes darker after opening the package. This is a natural oxidation phenomenon in which brass reacts with oxygen.
